The rapid rise in electric vehicle sales across Turkey in recent years has led Antalya to undergo a significant transformation. The nearly 120% increase in the number of charging stations installed in Antalya in the last two years has attracted the interest of both domestic and foreign investors, expanding commercial opportunities in this area.

Installing electric vehicle charging stations requires technical processes such as selecting a suitable location, preparing the power supply infrastructure, and selecting the right charging units. Areas with high vehicle traffic, such as shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, and residential and apartment parking lots, offer significant investment advantages. Furthermore, making the right choice between AC (slow) and DC (fast) charging stations is a critical factor in determining the return on investment. While DC fast charging stations have higher installation costs, they increase commercial returns thanks to their ability to charge vehicles in as little as 15–30 minutes.

According to experts, Antalya will be one of the fastest-growing charging station markets in the next five years, driven by both its tourism potential and the increasing number of electric vehicle users. This presents significant revenue opportunities for energy companies, electrical installers, business owners, and investors. Subsidiary areas such as charging station operation, maintenance services, software management, payment systems, and energy storage solutions are creating new business models in the sector. Therefore, a sound investment today can yield high profitability and sectoral advantages in the near future.
